Privacy Policy

irctcwhen ("we", "us") operates the website irctcwhen.in. We respect your privacy and collect the minimum data needed to run the service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

• Reminder details — if you set a reminder, we store your chosen journey date and the contact handle you opt in with (e.g. your Telegram chat ID). This is used solely to send you the reminder you requested.
• Anonymous analytics — we use privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel Analytics) to count page views and understand which features are used. This does not identify you personally.

What we do NOT collect or store

• We do not store your PNR number — PNR checks route you directly to the live source.
• We do not ask for or store your IRCTC login, passwords, or payment details.
• We do not require an account or signup to use the calculator.
• We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Reminders & messaging

If you opt into Telegram reminders, your messages are processed via the Telegram Bot API to deliver reminders. You can stop at any time by blocking the bot. Calendar reminders (Google Calendar / .ics) are generated on your device and added to your own calendar — we don't retain them.

Cookies

We use minimal local storage only to remember your theme preference (light/dark). Our analytics is cookieless. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Third-party links

When you tap through to IRCTC, ConfirmTkt, or other partner sites, their own privacy policies apply. We may earn a small commission on partner bookings; this does not affect what you pay. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.

Data retention

Reminder records are deleted after the reminder has been sent (after your journey's booking window passes). Anonymous analytics are retained in aggregate only.

Your rights

You can request deletion of any reminder data tied to your contact handle by emailing us. Since we don't require accounts, we hold very little about you in the first place.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
